Rules and Regulations
Participation Guidelines and Requirements

Eligibility:
Open to all academicians, clinicians, researchers, nurses, students, and professionals in the medical and healthcare fields. -
Registration:
-
Registration is for one participant/presenter only.
-
Team members may accompany but will not be provided lunch or refreshments.
-

Product Eligibility:
-
Products previously submitted to national (e.g., IIDEX 2024) or international competitions are ineligible unless significantly redeveloped or improved.
-

Team Composition:
-
Each team must include one (1) Project Leader and up to seven (7) Members (maximum of 8 members per team).
-
-
Changes and Additions:
-
No additional team members or name changes are allowed after the submission deadline.
-
Project titles cannot be amended after the submission deadline.

Submission Requirements:
-
Abstracts must be written in English and submitted in *.doc or *.docx format. [Click here for the abstract template.]

Recommended poster sizes:

A0 (841mm x 1189mm)

A1 (594mm x 841mm)

Orientation: Portrait

Participants are encouraged to showcase their products or prototypes.

Innovations must also be submitted as a video presentation:

Provide a YouTube link to the video in the registration form.
-
Videos should not exceed 5 minutes in length.

Evaluation:
-
Each innovation will be assessed by at least two (2) judges.
-
Participants must remain at their booths during the judging session.
-
Absence may result in penalties.
-
Refer to the program schedule for session timing and details.

Scope of Innovation:
-
Submissions can stem from Ph.D., Master’s, or Undergraduate Final-year projects or research work.
-
Collaborative projects with industry partners are highly encouraged.

Promotional Use:
-
The Organizing Committee of FoM UiTM reserves the right to use and showcase promotional photos of submitted products, innovations, or prototypes from IMIC 2025.

Instructions for Presentation
-
The event will be held physically at the Faculty of Medicine, UiTM.
-
All submissions will be screened by the Innovation Scientific Committee.
-
Only innovations meeting the competition's criteria will qualify to compete for awards.
Judging Process
-
At least two judges will evaluate each submission.
-
Participants will be allocated 10 minutes for their presentation, followed by a 5-minute Q&A session.
-
Participants are encouraged to provide proof of innovation, product, or design during judging.
-
Intellectual Property (IP) protection through copyright or patents is mandatory.
-
The judges' decision is final, and appeals or disputes will not be entertained.
Awards
-
Medals will be awarded based on the judges' evaluations:
-
Gold, Silver, or Bronze.
-

The top innovation will receive a special recognition award.
-
Additional medals may be purchased at the following fees:
-
RM100 (local)
-
USD25 (international)
(Includes delivery and packaging).

ONE e-certificate will be provided to the Team Leader.
Payment Policy

All payments are NON-REFUNDABLE, including cases of no-shows.
-
Failure to complete registration by the submission deadline will result in disqualification.

ONE-Minute Elevator Pitch Competition
​
The ONE-Minute Elevator Pitch Competition offers participants a unique platform to deliver a compelling pitch for their product, idea, or innovation within just one minute. Imagine being in an elevator with a company CEO—this is your only chance to capture their attention and make an impact.
Participants will have exactly 60 seconds to present their concept in a way that impresses and engages the judges. The pitch should be concise, persuasive, and focused on showcasing the value and uniqueness of the innovation.

Each registered product is eligible for entry.

Strictly limited to ONE (1) minute.

Presentation Format:

PowerPoint presentations are not allowed.

Participants may showcase their product/idea/innovation using actual prototypes or pictures.

Judging Criteria:

Clarity and conciseness of the pitch.
-
Creativity and innovation.
-
Ability to capture attention and make a strong impression.

The participant delivering the best pitch will receive a special award. Get ready to wow the judges and make your minute count!
